Two Events, One Huge Pokémon Celebration

For the first time, PokémonXP will take place alongside the Pokémon World Championships at the Moscone Center. PokémonXP is designed as a celebration for fans of all ages, featuring activities, panels, workshops, cosplay, special guests, partner experiences, and a Pokémon Center pop-up store.

Meanwhile, the world's top Pokémon competitors will battle for the title of World Champion across Pokémon VGC, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE. The finals will take place at San Francisco's Chase Center.

And Trainers who can't make it to San Francisco can still join the celebration from wherever they play!

Power Up Your Pokémon GO Battle Teams

The Pokémon GO celebration puts the spotlight on battling, making this a great opportunity to strengthen your collection for GO Battle League.

Several Pokémon will have opportunities to learn powerful moves when evolved during the event, including Feraligatr, Greninja, Inteleon, Primeape, Annihilape, Alolan Sandslash, Gardevoir, Gallade, Metagross, Togekiss, Hydreigon, Decidueye, Incineroar, Corviknight, Lickilicky, Quagsire, and Walrein.

Among the highlights are moves such as Hydro Cannon, Rage Fist, Meteor Mash, Aura Sphere, Brutal Swing, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Icicle Spear—giving competitive-minded Trainers plenty of reasons to check their Pokémon storage and prepare their best candidates.

The celebration will also bring exciting Pokémon encounters and special-costumed Pokémon to Pokémon GO.

One standout is Pikachu wearing a Cosmog-inspired space outfit, giving Trainers a chance to add a particularly memorable PokémonXP-themed Pikachu to their collection. Another special Pikachu celebrates the 2026 Pokémon World Championships with a champion-inspired design.

Trainers can also look forward to a variety of Pokémon appearing throughout the different portions of the celebration, with plenty of opportunities to hunt for strong specimens and, where available, their Shiny versions.

During the celebration, the daily number of GO Battle League sets will increase, giving Trainers substantially more opportunities to battle and earn rewards.
